Cloth diapers and flying cows

I ordered a few cloth diaper covers online today.  They’re impossible to find in the stores.  I’ve heard Target has them, but only can find the pull up covers.  I’m going to try this out.  I’m glad Emma is older and pretty “regular” if you know what I mean.  Not sure I’d do this with a newborn who poops several times a day, unless I had a diaper service to clean the diapers.  I’m pretty hesitant about this because several months ago I got cloth training pants and plastic pull up covers for Juliana to wear overnight…and she wet through them almost every night.  It doesn’t seem very environmentally friendly to wash bedsheets everyday.

Juliana likes to paint flying cows.  We’ve had a framed painting in the living room for months – green, blue, pink splotches – and Juliana insists that it’s a flying cow.  She made another flying cow yesterday, here it is:

Juliana took a nap today, which is pretty rare.  Emma was happy to be able to play with toys alone and have them all to herself!

Lets not mess up this definition.  Why all the protests???  Who are the real HATERS here?  It makes me want to throw up.  There are people burning churches in California, “A Day Without Gays” boycott, eHarmony (a Christian website) is now forced to have “man seeking man” garbage…Ahhhh!  We need to stand up for our Christian values, and stop this craziness!

We were watching videos of Juliana as a baby today, and I thought this was really cute!

Today, Juliana had her first ballet class!  She loved it!  Here is a picture of her in her leotard before class.

Emma loves her pacifier, but I think it’s time to take it away.  We are down to ONE, it has a hole in it and is probably covered in germs.  From now on, it stays in the bedroom (and goes to church).  It definetly goes to church, otherwise she’ll be very noisy and there is no where to take a noisy baby during church, except the bathroom (which is almost always occupied) and outside (too cold).

“There were once five peas in one shell, they were green, the shell was green, and so they believed that the whole world must be green.” from The Pea Blossom by Hans Christian Anderson

In regards to abortion, one sees only what they wish and it’s unfortunate that so many people refuse to see the truth of the unborn.

A rare moment between Juliana and Emma. They got new matching footed pajamas, and Emma was so exicted that she gave Juliana a hug!

As I’m typing this, Juliana is singing “If you’re happy and you know it, fart, fart, fart…” Gross, I know. I tell her to say “pass gas” instead, but that word is just not funny to her.

“Green” Giveaway
15 November 2008, 10:38 pm

I am conservative, not only in politics, but in every aspect of life.  That means I believe in conserving everything from the constitution to the trees.

I found this “Green” Giveaway from Wayfaring Wanderer on my sister’s blog and thought I’d enter too!  To participate, I will list five eco-friendly things that I currently do and five things I could do, so here goes…

Things I do now:

1. I have reusable grocery bags.

2. I recycle, usually a weekly trip to the recycle bins at the nature center.

3. I donate clothes to charity and buy from consignment shops.  One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.

4. I use a stainless steel water bottle, rather than plastic bottled water.

5. I buy heavy duty aluminum foil, wash and reuse.

Things I could do:

1. Keep the heat lower, wear warmer clothes instead.

2. Use more natural cleaners.  I’ve had this website bookmarked for awhile, but have yet to try them out.

3. Composting.

4. Convince my husband that he doesn’t need to shower so frequently…everyday and sometimes twice a day is excessive John!

5. Buy more organic and local foods.

Why isn’t William Ayers in JAIL?

Why was he on Good Morning America being treated like a normal human being?  He belongs in JAIL!

ph2008021900931

He co-founded the Weather Underground, a radical left organization that is responsible for several bombings in public buildings, mostly government buildings in the 1960’s and 1970’s.  They have organized numerous riots and other violent demonstrations.  He is a TERRORIST by definition – one who participates in acts of unlawful violence and war.

In the 1980’s documentary, “No Place to Hide,” a former Weather Underground member explains the groups plan: To overthrow the US government and launch a mass re-education program through re-education program.  They would “eliminate” (kill) ” those who couldn’t be “re-educated,” so anyone who refused to follow them.  Here it is, but it gets deleted from YouTube frequently, put up again, deleted, etc.

William Ayers told the New York Times in 2001, “I don’t regret setting bombs…I feel we didn’t do enough.”  That is the source of this infamous picture of him standing on top of an American flag.

1ayflag1

He has not been publicly interviewed since 2001 until today when he appeared on Good Morning America.  Chris Cuomo, who interviewed him, pushed him to deny his wrongdoings, yet Ayers defended his crimes as justifiable.  The only thing he admitted to doing wrong was dedicating his book to Sirhan Sirhan (the man who murdered Robert F. Kennedy).

In his book Fugitive Days: Memoirs of an Anti-War Activist, he admits his friendship with Barak Obama: “We had served together on the board of a foundation, knew one another as neighbors and family friends, held an initial fund-raiser at my house.”

He is currently a professor at the University of Illinois, and holds the title “distinguished professor” of education and senior university scholar.  He considers himself an “elementary education theorist.”  It’s sick that America allows Ayers, not only to be free, but to be employed by a public college that is government funded!

So why did he appear on Good Morning America?  Is it to soften us up to accepting him as innocent?  Is it now considered acceptable to protest with violence and MURDER?  Since Ayers is expirenced in planning “re-education” programs, maybe Obama will name him Secretary of Education in order to carry out his plans for the “classroom corps,” then maybe he’ll enforce it with his “Civilian National Security Force.”

Row, row, row your boat….and other bits of useless information

Emma’s favorite song is “Row, Row, Row Your Boat” and sings “row, row, row” as she sways back and forth.  I need a camera, because I’d love to share a video.

Juliana got an Eloise dvd from the library last week and another one today.  She loves it!  Eloise is six, witty and a little bossy.  I think Juliana will be just like her when she’s six.

Looks like I’ve got fans out there!  Although I don’t understand why those who call me names I can’t even repeat, follow my blog on a regular basis?  I’ll make sure to keep up my regular political rants, seeing as how people LOVE them!
